What is Aluminum Sand Casting?

The process of creating a casting using green sand begins with the preparation of the sand mixture. The sand is thoroughly mixed with clay and water until it reaches a malleable consistency. Once prepared, a pattern—often made from metal or wood—is pressed into the sand to create a mold cavity. The two halves of the mold are then assembled, and molten iron is poured into the cavity. After cooling, the mold is broken away, revealing the cast iron part.
