What is Structural Die Casting?

1. High Precision and Complexity One of the standout benefits of structural die casting is its ability to create complex geometries with very tight tolerances. This precision is essential for parts that need to fit seamlessly within larger assemblies.

Ejector pins are metallic rods positioned within the die to push the cast part out after it has solidified. These pins are typically made from materials like steel or aluminum and are designed to endure high temperatures and pressures. Dry sand is essentially the same as green sand but with the moisture removed. This type of sand is mixed with a binding agent, usually resin or phenolic compounds, which gives the mold increased strength and thermal stability. Dry sand molds are cured at high temperatures to harden, which makes them suitable for producing high-quality castings with smooth surfaces.
