Once the pattern is set, the sand mixture is packed tightly to form a mold. After the mold is prepared, the pattern is removed, leaving behind a negative impression. At this stage, molten metal—often aluminum, iron, or brass—is poured into the mold cavity. After the metal cools and solidifies, the mold is broken away to reveal the sand casting product. This method allows for fantastic flexibility in terms of design complexity and scale, making it ideal for both small-scale and large-scale production.
